I have been a bad girl lately and been a little behind on my blog posts. Please forgive me! Forgiveness is especially needed because you obviously all want to know about my latest giveaway! I am giving away the very loved and oh so popular Lorac Pro Palette.
I’ve also included a really fun makeup tutorial to show you just one of many ways you can use the palette. This is one of my favorite eye shadow palettes I own because it’s so versatile. I love matte eye shadows and the palette has eight matte shades as well as eight complimentary shimmer colors. Amazing.
Check out my video to see my tutorial and you’ll also find out how to win a palette for yourself!
I am a little late getting this post up and I apologize! If it matters, I thought I already had posted this…
When I was watching the Golden Globes two weekends ago, a few stars in particular caught my eye with how beautiful they looked. One that really stood out to me was Katharine McPhee, star of Smash. Now, I LOVED the first season of Smash! I highly recommend checking it our if you love Broadway, performance, singing, etc. If you loved season one as much as me, you can go watch the first hour of the season two premier on Hulu!
Back to the Golden Globes…Katharine looks so mature and stunning in her gown and I thought her makeup was on point! Nars Cosmetics was kind enough to pin a photo of what they used to create her look. Now, while I love Nars, I didn’t have even one of the products they used. Sad. I refused to let this defeat me and I recreated the look using what I had on hand!
Please be sure to check out my video to see how I recreated the look and if you haven’t yet, subscribe to my channel! xx
Hey n00bz! Just kidding. Welcome to the world of makeup! Maybe you aren’t exactly new to makeup, but you may find that you struggle with finding makeup looks that you’re comfortable with. This is understandable, especially with all of the videos and tutorials out there (including some of my own) which are a little more dramatic.
Fear no more, in my newest video I show you a very simple and natural makeup look that will enhance your natural beauty rather than making you feel too made up.
I start off with a few really easy steps that will help you feel more confident and pretty, for days where the just rolled out of bed look won’t cut it. Let’s be honest though, some days that looks is perfectly fine!
Next, I show you a few additional steps you can take to amp the look up so that if you get invited out you can look a little more done up!
Hey sexy ladies…okay, I’m sorry I’m starting this post singing Gangnam Style! Today I have a really great tutorial for you all on how to make a beautiful and simple chain headband/hair accessory!
I guess it’s no secret anymore, but I really like Khloe Kardashian. She seems like such a real person and I love her personality and style. I had been seeing a lot of photos of her with these beautiful hair accessories and I loved the look of it. My first instinct was to buy one and let me tell you, these can cost you quite the pretty penny. This led me to the thought of “Hey, I can do this myself,” which then led my husband to give me that doubtful stare, and rightfully so, as he has seen a few too many DIY projects to into the trash.
However, you are reading this post, which means this DIY project has been a success and it’s seriously so fool-proof. Trust me, I wouldn’t tell you it’s easy if it wasn’t. This should honestly cost you around $5 per headband and take you around 10 minutes to do. ^_^
Check out my video where I walk you though the steps and be sure to comment below and let me know if you try this out. If you do (and you should!) be sure to tweet me photos or post to my Facebook page. As always, don’t forget to like the video and subscribe! It means a lot when you do. xx
That reminds me! I have been more active on Twitter lately, so be sure to follow me if you haven’t yet!
I can’t believe it, but 2012 is almost over! It’s been a great year and it’s been so fun starting my blog and YouTube channel and getting to share my passion for beauty with you all!
Today I wanted to show you my most recent video which is a New Year’s Eve makeup tutorial! It’s really glittery and glamourous and would be perfect for New Year’s or any special event you may have.
Don’t be scared by the glitter! I am not a fan of glitter and I was pretty hesitant to do this look because I was fearful or the glitter aftermath. You know what I’m talking about, glitter specs that hang around for days (or weeks), glitter in my eyeballs, etc. However, I faced my fear of glitter and guess what? It wasn’t bad at all! Here are my glitter tips for those who are also hesitant to use this sparkly stuff.
Use a product like Fix+ or the Mixing Medium from MAC to help get the glitter to stick.
Apply a cream shadow first, as your base, again this will help keep the glitter on your eyelid because it’s another product it can adhere to.
If you do have fallout on your face, wrap some tape around your finger and pat over those areas to pick up the specs. It works really well!
Only dip one side or your brush into the glitter, if you cover the entire brush the glitter on the side that isn’t being pressed down will just fall all over your face and no one wants that.
When you’re done for the night and ready to take your makeup off, I suggest using a makeup remover towelette to gently wipe off your eyelids first. Once you have all the glitter off your eyes, wash your face with a good cleanser and warm water. By removing the eye makeup first you’ll avoid getting the glitter all over your face when using your face wash.
