Hey n00bz! Just kidding. Welcome to the world of makeup! Maybe you aren’t exactly new to makeup, but you may find that you struggle with finding makeup looks that you’re comfortable with. This is understandable, especially with all of the videos and tutorials out there (including some of my own) which are a little more dramatic.
Fear no more, in my newest video I show you a very simple and natural makeup look that will enhance your natural beauty rather than making you feel too made up.
I start off with a few really easy steps that will help you feel more confident and pretty, for days where the just rolled out of bed look won’t cut it. Let’s be honest though, some days that looks is perfectly fine!
Next, I show you a few additional steps you can take to amp the look up so that if you get invited out you can look a little more done up!
I can’t believe it, but 2012 is almost over! It’s been a great year and it’s been so fun starting my blog and YouTube channel and getting to share my passion for beauty with you all!
Today I wanted to show you my most recent video which is a New Year’s Eve makeup tutorial! It’s really glittery and glamourous and would be perfect for New Year’s or any special event you may have.
Don’t be scared by the glitter! I am not a fan of glitter and I was pretty hesitant to do this look because I was fearful or the glitter aftermath. You know what I’m talking about, glitter specs that hang around for days (or weeks), glitter in my eyeballs, etc. However, I faced my fear of glitter and guess what? It wasn’t bad at all! Here are my glitter tips for those who are also hesitant to use this sparkly stuff.
Use a product like Fix+ or the Mixing Medium from MAC to help get the glitter to stick.
Apply a cream shadow first, as your base, again this will help keep the glitter on your eyelid because it’s another product it can adhere to.
If you do have fallout on your face, wrap some tape around your finger and pat over those areas to pick up the specs. It works really well!
Only dip one side or your brush into the glitter, if you cover the entire brush the glitter on the side that isn’t being pressed down will just fall all over your face and no one wants that.
When you’re done for the night and ready to take your makeup off, I suggest using a makeup remover towelette to gently wipe off your eyelids first. Once you have all the glitter off your eyes, wash your face with a good cleanser and warm water. By removing the eye makeup first you’ll avoid getting the glitter all over your face when using your face wash.

I am so excited and also shocked that we are only two weeks away from Christmas. While on that note, I want to wish everyone a Happy Hanukkah as well! I love this time of year so I for one am not wishing the next few weeks away.
For today’s post I wanted to share with you a Penelope Cruz makeup tutorial that I filmed this past weekend with my sister-in-law Cameo. She was a great model for this bronzey-brown smokey look. Similar to my Demi Lovato look, I think this is such a perfect look to wear to a holiday party. It’s just so pretty and not too over the top where you’ll feel too made up.
Check out my video to learn how to create this look and let me know if you try it out. If you do, post a photo to my Facebook page or Tweet it to me!
What item did you get for the holiday’s or are your really hoping to get? I really want the Urban Decay Naked Basics eyeshadow palette!
Can you believe that tomorrow is December 1st? It’s so crazy to me how fast this year has gone by, especially considering my wedding was 8 months ago today! It seems like it was just yesterday, sigh.
Now that we are in December, I think most of us will have some holiday parties or night out with friends where we’ll want to look festive and gorgeous! No worries, because this look is really simple and super pretty for the holidays (or any time of year for that matter)!
This look was actually inspired by some recent looks I’ve seen Demi Lovato wearing on the X Factor. I personally think she looks gorgeous since she has gone back to brunette and thickened up her brows. Her brows are pretty big right now, but I think she rocks the look. A few times she has been wearing some pretty golds on her eyes with a classic red lip and that is what inspired me for this tutorial.
This look would be perfect to wear with a little black dress or even a red dress and you could switch out the red lip for a nude or shimmery peach one!

Revlon Color Stay Whipped Foundation
NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder

As much as I love my fancier makeup items, I know that not everyone can afford or are willing to pay for the higher-end brands, so I wanted to do a short series of posts and videos on some really awesome budget makeup products that are still really great quality!
I am going to be recommending budget-friendly products that I have used and have been very happy with the quality. I will give them a rating in a percentage based on my opinion of how close they come to their high-end counterpart! So if I think a budget item is as good as the high end one, 100% it is! I will not be recommending any products that aren’t at least an 80% rating.
I am judging the makeup in a variety of ways. How long they last, smell, color payoff, how well they blend, etc. The main things I look for when I buy new products!
Please check out my video to hear my reviews and thoughts on all these products and check out all the details on the products and where to buy them below!
